3Z Telecom (VIAVI) announce the availability of the latest version of firmware for the 3Z RF Vision Antenna Alignment Solution.
Version 2.8 brings several important features and improvements to 3Z RF Vision customers, including:
- User-selectable Geoid between the standard Geoid and the ITALGEO Geoid. Use of the ITALGEO Geoid improves accuracy of GNSS-based height calculations within the Italian geographic footprint.
- Availability of a software variant that provides a Simplified Chinese User Interface
- Improved latitude / longitude Degree-Minutes-Seconds resolution to 1/100th of a Second
- Updated Bluetooth communications stack for improved compliance and stability

The new software is now available for new orders and as downloadable software upgrade from shop.viavisolutions.com.
- For new 3Z RF Vision orders requiring the Chinese UI software load, please add the part number 3Z-RFV-CHUI to the customer quote or sales order.
- For field upgrades, please visit https://shop.viavisolutions.com/login/ to download either the English UI or the Chinese UI version of the software. (Please be very deliberate about which language version you load as switching between revision 2.8 language variants will require 3Z TAC support.)
